Basic Dance and Singing at Dance Arbor
This will be a time of introduction to Native America dancing and singing. Here you will learn about Powwows-traditions, purpose, and etiquette.
Choker Construction Class at Waterfront Shelter
This class will explain what a choker is and the purpose it serves. Also, this class will give youth a craft to take home.
Birdhouse Construction at Nature Shelter
This service project class will offer the youth an opportunity to make a birdhouse and install it on Camp property. This activity also fulfills a requirement for the handyman activity pin.
AIA Powwow at the Dance Arbor
Join the Occoneechee Lodge dancers in the afternoon for the annual lodge spring Powwow.
This one day event will take place at Camp Durant in Moore County. The day begins at 9:30 am and ends at 4:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. Please park in the admin parking area and walk to the Scout Craft Shelter; no cars are allowed in Camp. Also, please bring your medical form. The event is limited to the first 250 participants, so please register by February 21, 2005.
